St. Luke’s is seeking a System Compliance Officer to lead the
development and implementation of an effective compliance program
that prevents illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. The System
Compliance Officer acts as staff to the Audit Committee of the Board
of Directors of St. Luke’s Health System by providing guidance for
St. Luke’s on matters relating to compliance and by monitoring and
reporting results of the compliance and ethics efforts throughout
St. Luke’s. The Officer is authorized to implement all necessary
actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective
compliance program. Compliance efforts should be consistent with
lawful direction provided by the System Audit Committee and should
be coordinated with local administration and boards. .
a. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s or Juris Doctorate
desired. Certification in Healthcare Compliance desired.
b. A minimum of 3 years experience with healthcare compliance
activities.
c. Demonstrated leadership ability with emphasis on confronting
issues and preventing and addressing compliance concerns through
education. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in
writing.
d. Familiarity with healthcare laws, regulations, and
standards.
e. Understanding of coding and reimbursement systems, risk
management, and performance improvement helpful. Basic familiarity
with healthcare operations.
